Treetop Walk – Lake Manyara

Suspended high in the canopy of the groundwater forest, the Lake Manyara Treetop Walkway offers a thrilling and scenic walk above the forest floor. Starting with a short nature trail through thick fig and mahogany trees, the walk quickly rises onto a series of hanging bridges and platforms that extend up to 370 meters in total. As you ascend into the treetops, you’ll enjoy a bird’s-eye view of monkeys swinging through the branches, birds flitting between leaves, and possibly even butterflies and reptiles hidden in the foliage. Informative signs and guides explain the ecology of the forest and its significance to the local ecosystem. The treetop walk takes about 45 minutes and ends with sweeping views of the forest canopy and the rift valley beyond.
