This unique water-based safari offers an entirely different perspective of Lake Manyara’s wildlife. After entering the park and making your way to the lake’s edge, you’ll meet your canoe guide and receive a brief safety orientation. Paddling along the shimmering lake, you’ll be awed by the sight of pink flamingos feeding in the shallows, hippos half-submerged in the water, and giraffes grazing along the shore. The stillness of the lake makes for incredible photography opportunities and close-up encounters with water birds and aquatic animals. The experience lasts about 2 hours, depending on water levels, and is especially magical in the early morning or late afternoon light. It's a quiet, immersive contrast to traditional game drives, offering a chance to feel truly part of the landscape.
